By accessing or using our website (microtec.lk) and services—including purchasing products, requesting repairs, or contacting us—you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

  1. Definitions
    • “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to Microtec Digital Zone, located at 138/2.A/1, Highlevel Road, Kottawa, Sri Lanka.
    • “Customer,” “you,” or “your” refers to any individual or entity accessing our website or requesting products/services.
    • “Products” refers to any mobile phones, accessories, spare parts, or related items sold by us.
    • “Services” refers to any repair, maintenance, or warranty work performed by us.
    • “Website” refers to microtec.lk and any subpages or related domains under our control.

  2. Acceptance of Terms
    2.1 By browsing, registering, placing an order, or requesting repair services from Microtec Digital Zone, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, along with our Privacy Policy.
    2.2 We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Changes become effective immediately upon posting at microtec.lk. Your continued use of the Website or our Services after updates signifies your acceptance of the revised terms.

  3. Eligibility and Account Registration
    3.1 You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase or request repair services. By placing an order or submitting a repair request, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18.
    3.2 When you register for an account on microtec.lk, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account.
    3.3 If you suspect unauthorized use of your account or breach of security, you must notify us immediately at dmicrotec@gmail.com or 071 456 7777.

  4. Use of the Website
    4.1 You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
    • Transmitting malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt or damage the Website or other users’ devices.
    • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to restricted areas of the Website.
    • Harvesting or extracting data from microtec.lk without our express permission.
    4.2 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account or access to the Website if you engage in prohibited activities or violate these Terms.

  5. Product Information & Pricing
    5.1 All Products displayed on the Website are subject to availability. We strive to display accurate descriptions, images, colors, specifications, and pricing; however, we cannot guarantee that all information is free from errors.
    5.2 Prices listed on the Website are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR), inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Orders will be charged at the price stated at the time you place your order.
    5.3 We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors—even after an order has been submitted—and to refuse or cancel any orders arising from such errors.

  6. Order Placement & Payment
    6.1 To place an order on microtec.lk, you must provide a valid delivery address, contact number, and payment information. We accept cash on delivery (COD) only for Sri Lankan addresses, unless otherwise specified.
    6.2 Once you submit your order, you will receive an order confirmation email or SMS containing your order number, summary of items, and total amount due. Please review this information carefully and notify us immediately of any discrepancies.
    6.3 Payment via COD must be made in full to the delivery agent at the time of receipt. We do not collect payment details (e.g., credit/debit card information) on our Website.
    6.4 All sales are final once the order is delivered, except as otherwise provided in the “Returns & Refunds” section below.

  7. Shipping & Delivery
    7.1 We deliver only within Sri Lanka. Delivery timeframes vary depending on location and Product availability; estimated delivery times are stated during checkout but are not guaranteed.
    7.2 If an item is out of stock or delayed, we will notify you via email or phone and offer the option to cancel or substitute the Product.
    7.3 Risk of loss and ownership of the Products pass to you upon delivery—once you or your authorized representative signs for receipt. Inspect all items upon delivery and report any damage, missing items, or discrepancies within 24 hours to dmicrotec@gmail.com or 071 456 7777.

  8. Returns & Refunds (Goods)
    8.1 Because we sell electronic devices, returns for buyer’s remorse are generally not permitted. All sales are final unless:
    • The Product is defective upon receipt (manufacturer defect).
    • We shipped an incorrect Product.
    8.2 To request a return for a defective Product, you must notify us within 7 days of delivery. Provide order number, proof of purchase (invoice), and a clear description of the defect via dmicrotec@gmail.com.
    8.3 Once approved, you must return the item in its original packaging, including all accessories, manuals, and protective covers. We will inspect the Product upon receipt.
    8.4 If the Product is confirmed defective by our inspection team, we will, at our discretion, either:
    • Repair the item at no additional cost to you, or
    • Replace the item with the same model (subject to availability), or
    • Issue a full refund of the purchase price (including shipping fees), using the original payment method.
    8.5 Reimbursement for approved returns will be processed within 14 business days of our receipt and inspection of the item.

  9. Repair Services & Warranty
    9.1 In addition to retail sales, we offer repair services for mobile phones and accessories at our Kottawa showroom. All repairs are performed by certified technicians using genuine or high-quality replacement parts.
    9.2 To request repair services, bring your device and any relevant accessories to our showroom at 138/2.A/1, Highlevel Road, Kottawa. You will receive an estimate of repair costs and an expected completion date.
    9.3 Labor Warranty: All repair work carried out by Microtec Digital Zone is covered by a 30-day labor warranty—if the same issue reoccurs within 30 days of repair completion, we will fix it free of labor charges (parts, if required, may incur additional cost).
    9.4 Manufacturer’s Warranty: Some Products may include a manufacturer’s warranty of varying lengths. We act as a facilitator for warranty claims but do not extend or guarantee manufacturer coverage. Any warranty claims with the manufacturer must follow the manufacturer’s policies.
    9.5 Repaired or replaced parts remain the property of Microtec Digital Zone until cleared by the customer. Unclaimed devices or parts held for more than 60 days after notification of completion may be sold to recover storage costs.

  10. User-Provided Content and Feedback
    10.1 During order placement or repair requests, you may submit comments, reviews, or feedback (“User Content”). By submitting any User Content, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display such content on our Website or promotional materials.
    10.2 You represent and warrant that your User Content does not violate any applicable law or third-party rights and that you have all necessary rights and permissions to grant us the license described above.

  11. Intellectual Property
    11.1 All content on microtec.lk—text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software—is the property of Microtec Digital Zone or its content suppliers and protected by international copyright and trademark laws.
    11.2 The name “Microtec Digital Zone,” our logo, and other product and service names are trademarks or registered trademarks of Microtec Digital Zone. You may not display or use these marks without our prior written permission.
    11.3 Any unauthorized use of the Website’s content may violate copyright, trademark, or unfair competition laws and will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law.

  12. Privacy and Security
    12.1 Your use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Website, you consent to all actions taken by us with respect to your personal data as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
    12.2 We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100 percent secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

  13. Limitation of Liability
    13.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Microtec Digital Zone and its directors, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, or affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, business interruption, or loss of data arising from or related to:
    • Your use of, or inability to use, the Website.
    • Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data.
    • Any Products purchased or Services obtained from us.
    13.2 In no event shall our aggregate liability exceed the total amount paid by you to Microtec Digital Zone in the six (6) months preceding the claim.
    13.3 Certain jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages; therefore, some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

  14. Indemnification
    You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Microtec Digital Zone and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to:
    • Your breach or alleged breach of these Terms or any other policy referenced herein.
    • Your violation of any law or third-party right (including intellectual property rights).
    • Your User Content or any other content you provide.
    • Your use of the Website or Services in a manner not authorized by these Terms.

  15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
    15.1 These Terms and any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with them will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
    15.2 Any dispute or claim arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively by the courts of Sri Lanka, and you hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

  16. Force Majeure
    Microtec Digital Zone shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, strikes, government orders, or failures of telecommunications or utilities.

  17. Severability
    If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect, and the invalid or unenforceable portion will be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.

  18. Entire Agreement
    These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other documents expressly incorporated herein by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Microtec Digital Zone regarding the use of our Website and Services, superseding any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, or representations.
